AMA MAINTENANCE MANIA 2009
Rainforest Plumbing & Air was a proud sponsor of what is becoming one of the largest events of the year for the AMA. For those of you who joined in the action of the AMA Maintenance Mania on Thursday November 12th what a fun day of competition! With the best Maintenance Men and Women from around the valley representing numerous Management Companies the day was a huge success. You could hear people cheering on one another as they each competed for numerous competitions around the room. At the end of the day the winners of the individual competitions were announced and given awards. The top competitor of the overall fastest time in all of the competitions was announced and won a trip to the National Maintenance Mania where they will compete against other top scoring competitors from around the United States.

CLEANING UP THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE
On Saturday 
November 7th, RainForest joined forces with the AACM in give a helping hand in cleaning up the landscaping of the Ronald McDonald House. To those who donated time, money, and many other items it was a very successful day and a wonderfully completed project. The staff at the Ronald McDonald house (RMH) were truly appreciative of all of AACM’s efforts to beautify the RMH community that houses families while their children are being cared for at the Children’s Hospital. Rainforest joined over 150 volunteers in attendance. AACM’s Affiliate Partners and Management Company members will continue to help out the RMH though out the next few years to help maintain all the hard work that went into this HOPE Charity Event.

UNDER PRESSURE!!
We've launched a new marketing campaign called UNDER PRESSURE!! The campaign includes flyers, gift bags, coupons, education, t-shirts, direct mail and internet marketing.
The campaign aims to educate homeowners as well as property maintenance managers for commercial properties about the dangers of high water pressure. Damaged or worn-out regulators can result in destructively high water pressure. The ad asks the question, "When was the last time you had your's checked or serviced?"
The free education includes a checklist to determine if dangerously high water pressure is present. The checklist includes leaking hot water relief valves, under slab leaks, excessive usage, high water flow, banging pipes, leaking stops and supply lines, surging water pressure, leaking pipes in walls, recurring leaks, leaking faucets and vibrating pipes.
In addition to offering $25 OFF any plumbing or air conditioning service, the campaign includes a FREE!! water pressure safety inspection.

They're also teaching two education classes on Plumbing and Air Conditioning tips and methods and how to save money through preventative maintenance. Maintenance Mania in Arizona is held in November and is attended by Property Maintenance Supervisors. There were more than 200 attendees in 2008 and many more expected in 2009. CRIMSHIELD SURVEY
UPDATE: Rainforest Plumbing & Air continues to use CrimShield for pre-employment and annual background certifications. ALL employees must be crime-free certified. This is our "No Monkey Business" concept. You can read more about our crime-free attitude at www.nomonkeybusiness.com". The criteria is all laid out there.
Much of our service is done for multi-housing (apartments and condos), and care facilities as well as other commercial and residential properties. These are places where people live and work and security is a basic expectation. Our customers appreciate that we pay attention to the problem of criminal employees working for vendors. CrimShield recently published a survey that 40% of employment candidates, who were NOT CERTIFIED because of a criminal record, have since become repeat offenders. We sure are glad that these people were rejected from our employment ranks. I'm sure our customers (Property Managers and Property Maintenance Managers) feel the same.
